Even though many Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) settlement services are specifically for permanent residents and protected persons, temporary foreign workers (TFWs) can still receive certain settlement services from provincial and territorial governments throughout Canada.
Please be aware that settlement services are available from various providers in all provinces and territories of Canada, each with their own policies, criteria for eligibility, and services.
Can I access IRCC’s settlement services?
The ability to access settlement services is typically based on the requirements setby the specific service provider.
As per IRCC, certain temporary residents in Canada qualify for federal settlement services. The department states that the eligibility criteria for settlement services funded by IRCC for Temporary Foreign Workers are different from those offered by privately funded organizations, non – profits, and provincially or municipally funded service providers.
