Ontario’s June 20, 2024 Express Entry Draw: A Golden Opportunity for French-Speaking Skilled Workers

On June 20, 2024, Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream issued 212 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to eligible candidates. This draw, focusing on general occupations, provides a significant opportunity for French-speaking skilled workers to advance their immigration journey to Ontario.

Eligibility Criteria for the June 2024 Draw

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to meet specific criteria:

Review the Program Requirements: Visit Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream page to ensure you meet all the necessary requirements.

⦁ Prepare Your Documents: Use the document checklist to gather and prepare all mandatory documents.

⦁ Submit Your Application: Log in to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) e-Filing Portal and follow the instructions for either a new or returning user.

The French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) on two separate dates in 2024. On January 18, 2024, a total of 984 NOIs were issued to candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 317 to 469. These profiles were created in the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s (IRCC) Express Entry system between January 18, 2023, and January 18, 2024. The draw was classified as a general draw.

In comparison, on June 20, 2024, the stream issued significantly fewer NOIs, totalling 212, to candidates with CRS scores between 305 and 409. The profiles for this draw were created in the IRCC’s Express Entry system over the span of a year from June 20, 2023, to June 20, 2024. Similar to the January draw, this too was categorized as a general draw.

The January draw featured a larger number of NOIs and a wider range of CRS scores, indicating a broader selection of candidates compared to the June draw, which had a narrower CRS range and fewer invitations.

Important Notes

Eligibility and Notifications: Even if you meet the eligibility criteria, it is not guaranteed that you will receive a notification of interest. Moreover, receiving an NOI does not automatically ensure that you meet the stream criteria or that your application will be approved.

⦁ No Need to Contact the Program: If you have received a notification of interest, there is no need to reach out to the program. Simply follow the application steps outlined.
